Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has attended a Metallica show, and the fans were not happy to witness it.
Ellefson Celebrated His Birthday with a Metallica Show
Turning 59 on November 12, the rocker has been invited to the same dated Metallica show for his birthday. Ellefson shared a few pictures from the day, and he included a picture with Lars Ulrich as well. The bassist shared a message for his friends and wrote the following:
“A heartfelt thanks to my dear friend Lars Ulrich & Metallica camp for giving me the wonderful birthday celebration of All Access passes in Detroit. What a great way to celebrate my birthday with great songs and longtime friends!”
He did not forget to thank the fans for the birthday wishes:
“And a huge thanks to everyone for their kind birthday wishes to me as well. Thanks for celebrating another trip around the sun!”
Fans Thought It’s ‘Cheating’
Well, the bassist was happy to celebrate his birthday at a Metallica show, but some fans were not. Even though some loved the moment of the reunion, some referred to it as cheating on his wife and going back to his ex. A user wrote:
“This is like when your wife divorces you and you post pics with your new girlfriend.”
