Pamela Des Barres recently shared how she refused Robert Plant’s advances after breaking up with Jimmy Page during a chat with Yahoo.
Although Des Barres is known for her affairs and relationships with the numerous rock stars of the 70s, it might be safe to say that she isn’t pleased with the assumptions surrounding her’ image.’ She expressed:
“People think I slept with 100 men each each night. I remember when some guy walked up to [Rattlesnake Shake frontman] Jimmy Quill, who was my boyfriend at the time, and said, ‘So, is it true your girlfriend slept with all of Led Zeppelin at once?’ People think I did orgies and stuff. None of that ever happened.”
She then revealed how she’d even refused Plant’s advances, so as not to complicate his relationship with her ex-boyfriend Page:
“[I was] very careful never to sleep with the same two members of the same band or get involved with them… The closest I came was with Robert Plant. After Jimmy and I had totally broken up, we discussed it a little bit. We had this kind of crush. But we never acted on it. Most people would not believe that, though.”
Pamela’s best-known affairs didn’t only include Plant and Page, as she reportedly also had friendships and romantic involvements with Jim Morrison, Alice Cooper, the Who’s Keith Moon, Don Johnson, Mick Jagger, and even the country icon Waylon Jennings.
