It’s almost time for new music from Eminem.

During Dr. Dre’s appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the rapper/producer revealed Eminem’s 12th studio album is currently in the works and set to be released “this year.”

“Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now — Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” said Dre, 59. “And I actually talked to him, and he said it’s OK for me to make that announcement right here on this show.”

“So, he has an album coming out — I’ve got songs on it, and it’s fire. I’m actually gonna hear the entire album for the first time for tomorrow,” detailed Dre.

Despite collaborating with Slim Shady, 51, on the forthcoming project, the Death Row Records co-founder admitted he’s not sure what the final result will sound like.

“[Eminem] holds his music close to his chest, so I haven’t even heard everything,” said Dre. “I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year.”

The 8 Mile star’s most recent full-length original studio album, Music to Be Murdered By, was released in 2020 and spawned the hit “Godzilla” with Juice Wrld, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Eminem followed up the project with Music to Be Murdered By – Side B the same year and later released the greatest hits album Curtain Call 2 in 2022.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Beats Electronics co-founder was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Snoop Dogg and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson — who joined Dre on Jimmy Kimmel Live! — as well as Eminem attended the ceremony to support him.

“I didn’t expect for there to be that many people out there to represent, but that was great,” reflected the “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” rapper on the late-night show.
