Eminem’s 8 Mile co-star Nashawn Breedlove’s tragic cause of death revealed

8 Mile star Nashawn Breedlove died from an accidental drug overdose, it has been confirmed.

The actor and rapper, who starred alongside Eminem in the hit film, passed away in September at the age of 46. It’s now been reported that he died from acute intoxication from fentanyl, acetyl fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol.

The star’s death was accidental, according to the New Jersey Medical Examiner as per an autopsy report allegedly obtained by TMZ. He was found deceased in his New York City apartment.

His mum Patricia announced the actor’s death on Facebook in a heartbreaking post. She wrote: “Nashawn was a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. No one could deny his talent.

Fans fell in love with the star when they saw him showcasing his rapping skills in a battle against the Mockingbird rapper in the 2002 movie. The film, which is loosely based on Eminem’s life, saw Nashawn play Lotto and he is fondly remembered for his fiery lines in the movie, especially his jab comparing Eminem’s character, B-Rabbit, to “Leave It to Beaver.”

Hip-hop artist Mickey Factz was one of the first to pay tribute to the incredible rap star. He wrote on social media: “RIP to one of the few emcee’s to beat Eminem… Lotto from 8 Mile. Who’s friends lovingly called him, OX. You will be missed for your tenacity and aggressiveness.”
