John 5 recently discussed how AC/DC and Van Halen was on the same level with Mötley Crüe while speaking to Keny Aronoff.
The guitarist was discussing how he went to the Mötley Crüe rehearsals after Mick Mars’ leave, explaininghow he didn’t have to learn a single song. John said:
“When I went for the rehearsal, I didn’t have to learn anything. I knew every song… [starts playing a riff] Great stuff, man. [It’s the] Greatest, greatest, greatest.”

Then, he started to play another riff from Mötley’s discography and shared why he believed the band was another level when it came to producing creative riffs. The guitarist pointed out:
“They just have such a distinctriffs and all that stuff.It’s incredible stuff. [They are on the same]level on AC/DC or Van Halen, or anything like that.”
