CHICAGO, IL – Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are hosting a listening party for Vultures in Chicago this week.
With the ¥$ duo set to release their first collaborative album on Friday (February 9), they’ve announced that an event will take place the night before at the United Center in Ye’s hometown on Thursday (February 8).
Both Ye and Ty posted a promotional flyer on Instagram on Monday (February 5), confirming the location and date of the event. They also shared a graphic with the number “1,” indicating it’s specifically for Vultures Volume 1 — the first installment in the pair’s trilogy.
The United Center has a concert capacity of 23,500 and also serves as the home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks.
There’s no word yet on whether Vultures Volume 2 and Vultures Volume 3 will have their own events.
Kanye West is no stranger to holding big events prior to album releases.
He previously premiered The Life of Pablo at NYC’s Madison Square Garden in 2016, ye at his Wyoming ranch in 2018 and Donda at both Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Chicago’s Soldier Field in 2021.
A representative for Ye confirmed the tracklist for Vultures Volume 1 last week, revealing 13 songs.
The rapper’s daughter North West recently wore a shirt featuring a different tracklist but with some of the same songs, listing appearances from Future, Playboi Carti, Quavo, YG, Freddie Gibbs, Chris Brown, Lil Durk, Bump J, Timbaland and North herself.
Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign were initially set to perform the project in front of upwards of 100,000 fans at a concert in Italy in October.
Rumored to take place at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, the show ended up being canceled after reportedly hitting a roadblock.
The pair have since held two Vultures “raves,” including one in Las Vegas where Ye squashed his beef with Kid Cudi.
Following Vultures Volume 1‘s expected arrival on Friday, Vultures Volume 2 is set to be released on March 8, with Vultures Volume 3 coming on April 5.
The albums will serve as Kanye West’s first independent releases after Donda closed out his long-running partnership with Def Jam.
