Kanye West filmed a 40-minute apology video to the Jewish community after facing ‘pressure’ from his wife Bianca Censori, who friends claim has been left ‘extremely worried’ that the controversial star’s comments have put ‘their safety at risk’.
The outspoken rapper, 46, previously posted a written apology in Hebrew for his string of unhinged and offensive outbursts – which most recently saw him rapping anti-Semitic lyrics in Dubai and praising Hitler in Las Vegas last month.
However, it has since been revealed that the hitmaker – who suffers from bipolar disorder – also assembled a camera crew ‘several weeks ago’ to shoot his apology video, but ‘at times it was impossible to decode what he was saying’ – according to TMZ.
Now, friends close to his architectural designer wife, 29, have revealed to DailyMail.com that the rap star – who also goes by Ye – was pushed to make the apology video by his concerned spouse.
‘Kanye was pressured by Bianca to make this video because she was extremely worried that he was putting their safety at risk,’ the insider revealed. ‘They have had threats and her friends have expressed their fear in several text messages to her.’
The source continued: ‘With everything going on in the world with Israel, Kanye is putting himself in the line of fire and would make a very easy target because of how accessible he is. This terrifies everyone who knows Bianca.’
The insider revealed that the rapper has been left unhappy with messages of concern that friends have been sending Bianca, urging her to break from the marriage in order to keep herself away from any danger.
According to the source, the Gold Digger rapper has taken to reading through Bianca’s messages to ensure she hasn’t secretly been communicating with another man.
‘Kanye is paranoid right now and is skeptical of everyone, including his own wife,’ the insider revealed. ‘He found her phone the other day and started messaging her friends thinking they may be a man.’
They continued: ‘There were a ton of messages from her friends urging her to leave him and get out while she can. There were friends telling her to come back home. He started messaging them and, of course, it was just her friends.’
The source spilled: ‘She has zero free time to cheat or even be alone. She is with him every second of the day and he does not let her out of his sight.
‘She is suffocated and she knows what her friends want. She is struggling with what she wants right now.’
Kanye is said to be dropping the mea culpa before he and Ty Dolla $ign’s long-delayed Vultures album is finally released February 9 via iTunes, Apple Music, and his website.
The award-winning producer had originally showed no sign of dampening his provocative antics when he donned a black KKK hood during the Vultures listening event in Miami on December 11.
The 24-time Grammy winner – who gets 64.1M monthly listeners on Spotify – then issued an apology written in Hebrew on December 26, which many believed was generated by AI.
It read: ‘I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions, it was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.’
In November, the Anti-Defamation League called Kanye ‘disgusting, unrepentant, and clearly a misogynist’ for writing the lyric ‘How am I anti-Semitic? I just f***ed a Jewish b****’ in the title track Vultures.
Richard Hirschhaut, spokesperson for the American Jewish Committee, said the song lyric ‘seems particularly pathetic and sad’ and ‘unforgivable at this fraught and dangerous time for the Jewish community.’
In October, the New York Times published an exposé revealing West ‘drew a swastika on a shoe sketch’ during a meeting with Adidas execs in 2013, and openly praised ‘master marketer’ Adolf Hitler for his ‘command of propaganda.’
Last March, the Atlanta-born hip-hop star claimed watching Jonah Hill in his 2012 action comedy 21 Jump Street made him ‘like Jewish people again’ in a bizarre Instagram post.
‘No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people,’ Kanye – who boasts 42.8M social media followers – wrote.
‘No Christian can be labeled anti-Semite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.’
This came after West tweeted he was going ‘death con 3 on Jewish people’ in 2022, which got him promptly dropped by his agency CAA, production company MRC, Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga.
The rapper has since been focused on trying to rebuild his brand and company, recently filing paperwork to try and register a new trademark for a phrase inspired by his wife.
The filing revealed plans to use the slogan to launch a bizarre array of good and services including ‘biological cloning,’ ‘moisturizers,’ ‘plush toys’ and ‘wireless receivers in the form of jewelry.’
The rapper filed nine separate trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on January 11 under the phrase: ‘I MISS YOU WHEN I WAKE UP BEFORE YOU.’
Elsewhere, the divorced father-of-four has been showcasing a dramatic new look this week.
Kim Kardashian ex-husband – who boasts 62.7M social media followers – showed off his new custom $850K titanium grill crafted by Beverly Hills dentist Thomas Connelly.
Kanye modeled them off of the steel teeth Bond henchman ‘Jaws’ (Richard Kiel) wore in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Moonraker (1979).
