Mick Mars, after keeping things quiet for a while, finally broke his silence on social media with a bitter tweet, as he called out ‘fake’ people.
Mars’ ‘seclusion’ had been the source of numerous speculations, and even his former Mötley Crüe bandmate John Corabi had expressed ‘worry’ over the guitarist’s absence from the public. However, it seems all is fine with Mick, as the rocker clarified he was still using social media by targeting the ‘fake accounts’ tweeting and speaking on his behalf. He said:
“This is the real me. I want to thank all of you for having my back, keeping these fraudulent posers from fake being me. So tired of fakes. Peace, the real Mick Mars.”
The guitarist had first gone off the grit after his now-infamous legal battle with Mötley Crüe, as the controversial dispute forced both sides to take measurements. Numerous speculations have surfaced about Mars’ well-being and ‘seclusion’ since then, including from his friends and fellow musicians.
However, it seems that these ‘speculations’ and fake accounts pretending to be him have required Mick to take action and ensure his fans and the curious eyes of the public that he was fine and all was well.
This is the real me. I want to thank all of you for having my back, keeping these fraudulent posers from fake being me
