In a recent post on X, Nikki Sixx expressed frustration at Mötley Crüe fans taking Mick Mars’ side regarding the band’s ongoing feud with the guitarist.
The bassist initially shared his newfound interest in women’s rugby, writing:
“Well, I found a new addiction. Woman’s rugby. These girls are animals. I’m on hour 3 watching just in case I miss the concert tomorrow. This is my second favorite sport behind real American football….”
The Mick Mars Controversy
The fan then shifted the conversation to their disagreement with Mars and said:
“You did Mick wrong.”
Sixx responded by suggesting that the fan has been misled by rumors or misinformation. He explained:
“If you’ve heard of evil ways, you are being forced fed snake oil. Sad to see our fans directly getting lied to. When you know the truth, you will apologize to all of us. Keep drinking the poisonous Kool-aid.”
The same fan countered again, this time criticizing another band member, Vince Neil:
“You should have kicked out Vince instead; he ruined the MC show I saw with his bad voice and unhealthy appearance, huffing and puffing on the mic. The bottom line is that without Mick, your band is wack.”
Sixx Versus Fans About Mick
This is not the first time Nikki has interacted with the fans on social media and warned fans about why they are being lied to by Mars. Not long ago, when a fan comment mentioned Mick’s accusations about the bassist’s musicianship, he replied by saying:
“The saddest part, actually heartbreaking for us, is how his lawyers who are billing him 100’s thousands of dollars are directly through the press lying to the actual fans. So hard for us to see our fans of decades so confused by maliciousness, but we soldier on and do our best.”
Mars’ Media Strategy According To Nikki
Last month, Sixx again accused Mars of spreading lies to the band’s fans, particularly concerning his contributions to the band’s music. Music journalist Mitch Lafon brought up a counterpoint from producer Tom Werman, who insisted that Sixx did indeed play on their albums. Nikki said in his response:
“Mick lied to his and our fans and started these rumors. Sadly. You just don’t do that to your fans to just get press to try to sell a solo album, which I’ve heard.”
In other news, the guitarist dropped the first song of his upcoming solo album, ‘Loyal to the Lie,’ on October 31. Mars clarified in a recent interview with Eddie Trunk that his new song isn’t about his dispute with Mötley Crüe.
