Nikki Sixx Opens Up About Mick Mars’ ‘Malicious’ Lies

Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx recently responded to a fan’s comment on the X platform. When the fan brought up Mick Mars and his allegations against the bassist, Nikki responded and shared that it was upsetting to witness Mars’ ‘malicious’ lies. The fan’s comment read:

“I just got really sick of all the Nikki [Sixx] haters after Mick [Mars] claimed Nikki didn’t play at all. So I block the pieces of shit. The ones I get a kick out of messing with are the Nikki impersonators who DM me. I have a ball with them.”

Sixx shared the ‘saddest’ part of the whole debacle with Mick Mars. The bassist wrote:

“The saddest part, actually heartbreaking for us, is how his lawyers who are billing him 100’s thousands of dollars are directly through the press lying to the actual fans. So hard for us to see our fans of decades so confused by maliciousness, but we soldier on and do our best.”

Regarding Mars’ allegations against Nikki, Carmine Appice did an interview with Ultimate Guitar’s Andrew Daly, and the rocker revealed what Mars shared with him about the band. He said:

“The truth is that everything has been weird for a while with Motley Crue, and Mick didn’t like that everything was on tape. Mick told me that people that came to see it could tell that it was all pre-recorded and that everything was on tape.”

Amid Carmine’s remarks and Mars’ legal action, Sixx spoke to Jen Thomas of the UK’s Metro as the band embarked on the European leg of the tour. The bassist shared his thoughts about Mars’ claims. He expressed:

“I mean, the silliest thing I’ve ever read about ourselves was from Mick Mars’s attorneys. I’m just really sad at what’s happened… They put out that the band doesn’t play live. We’re, like, who is playing the bass then? It’s literally one of the funniest things.”
