During a recent episode of The Osbournes podcast, Ozzy Osbourne opened up about his upcoming stage return despite the health challenges he has faced.
When Jack Osbourne asked everyone how they were doing at the start of the podcast, the singer replied:
“I went to the doctor last Monday, and they said I’m blood clot-free. So I’ve got to do this with one of my arteries next Monday, and after that, it’s just back to physical therapy.”
While discussing his health status, the rocker also mentioned his intention to start practicing tai chi as a potential way to help his comeback to the concert stage. He then said:
“I’m gonna try to do it. It’s good for balance. It’s a new adventure.”
When Kelly Osbourne talked about the benefits of tai chi to patients with Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy added:
“I want to get back, and all options are open for me now.”
Back in July, the musician had to call off his performance at the upcoming Power Trip festival due to his ongoing health problems. He released a statement, explaining:
“As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October. My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.”
His health challenges also led to the cancellation of several previously scheduled tours, including ‘No More Tours 2 Tour‘ and his shows with Judas Priest in the UK and Ireland.
Still, in a new interview with Metal Hammer, Osbourne shared some good news about his health after having his final surgery in September. He’s feeling better now and is no longer in pain. Although he can’t walk properly yet, he’s optimistic about 2024 and plans to record a new album before going on tour again.
