Rod Stewart’s Confrontation With Russell Brand Resurfaces Amid Abuse Claims

Rod Stewart’s confrontation with Russell Brand during the GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2006 recently resurfaced amid the ongoing abuse accusations against the comedian.

Brand, who’s accused of sexual assault, harassment, and emotional abuse by several women, had a brief feud with Stewart upon claiming that he’d slept with his daughter, Kimberly Stewart, while accepting his award. He’d said:

“Here’s to Rod Stewart, who had a go at me earlier this year for too much womanizing. But then again, I did have a go on his daughter.”

Then, Sir Rod called out the comedian while accepting his own award and confronted him by saying:

“You went with my daughter, did you? Russell, stand up.”

After that, Brand reportedly seemed ‘sheepish’ while claiming he’d only taken Kimberly to dinner one night and, later on, took back his claims that he’d slept with the young Stewart.

Rod, upon seeing Russell’s backtracking and claims that he’d never slept with his daughter, expressed:

“F*cking right, you didn’t. I speak as a father.”

However, after the ceremony, the pair seemed to make up as they posed for pictures. Still, Stewart seemed a bit angry with Brand’s earlier comments as he uttered the following words to Evening Standard:

“He’s got to be careful! He might be a bit of a player, but he shouldn’t boast. I never did.”

Well, Stewart isn’t the only rocker who got mad at Brand for his ‘obscene’ comments, as you can check right here to see Offspring guitarist Noodles’ claims about the comedian’s ‘creepy’ attempts to start a cult.

Russell Brand has since refuted all the assault claims, as he made his own claims regarding how all of his relationships had been consensual with the video down below.
