Kanye West’s new album ‘Vultures’ has been delayed once more.
The rapper worked on ‘Vultures’ throughout 2023, dropping numerous hints online. Rumour holds that it is a joint Ty Dolla $ign endeavour, the two artists going toe to toe.
‘Vultures’ was initially slated to land at the end of 2023, before the release date was pushed into the New Year. Delayed again, Kanye then asserted that February 9th would be the final, final release date.
Sealing the deal, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign announced an ambitious ‘listening experience’ event at Chicago’s United Center; live-streamed on Veeps, it “offers a rare opportunity to experience Vultures, Volume 1 in an audio and visual showcase, marking a historic moment as fans everywhere will listen to the album for the first time together with the artists, album collaborators and special guests.”
The event went ahead, with both NFR Podcast and Hypebeast providing blow-by-blow accounts.
So, has Kanye West released his album ‘Vultures’ yet…?
Unfortunately, ‘Vultures’ still hasn’t been released yet. The album did not come out on streaming platforms as planned, representing another delay for the project.
There is no official word as yet on a new real date.
Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign did, however, share the Havoc Version of ‘Vultures’ – the new video is online in full.
Kanye West made a series of anti-semitic pronouncements in 2023, remarks he later apologised for. ‘Vultures’ does, however, contain the controversial line: “How am I antisemitic? I just fucked a Jewish bitch.”
Kanye West has not commented on the delay to the album. This story is ongoing, and will be updated.
