Stevie Nicks recently shared a post on Instagram, wishing Christine McVie could’ve been here to watch ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ with her.
The Fleetwood Mac singer shared a pic of the show’s cast and started her words by praising Elvis Presley’s granddaughter and actress, Riley Keough’s performance:
“Just finished watching Daisy Jones & the Six for the 2nd time. In the beginning, it wasn’t really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story..”
She then explained how it ‘brought back’ memories from her own career with Fleetwood Mac:
“It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story. It was very emotional for me. I just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it. Hopefully, it will continue.”
Christine passed away last year after a years-long battle with cancer. Stevie has since been paying tribute to her former bandmate, calling her ‘sister‘ on social media posts and singing McVie’s songs during her solo gigs.
Daisy Jones & The 6 aired this year on Amazon Prime, as the Keough and Sam Claflin-led drama follows ‘the rise of rock band Daisy Jones and The Six through the 1970s Los Angeles music scene on their quest for worldwide icon status.’
