Fans had a lot of expectations from Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. After all, it was going to be the first live-action film starring both Batman and Superman. While the film did an impressive job at the box office, the critics did not seem to be fans, and the fans were divided in their opinions.
Regardless, there are quite a few unforgettable moments from the film, including the one where Ben Affleck’s Batman almost succeeds in killing Henry Cavill’s Superman. The iconic fight had viewers on the edge of their seats as at any moment the Kryptonite-tipped spear could pierce through the superhero. Luckily for him, the fight came to an end, all thanks to one name: Martha.
Recently, the scene from the 2016 movie resurfaced on the Internet on the precious occasion of Mother’s Day.

As Ben Affleck’s Batman was going to end Henry Cavill’s Superman, the latter mutters out the words, “You’re letting them kill Martha” and “Find him, save Martha.” This stopped Batman dead in his tracks, and the Caped Crusader kept asking his opponent “Why did you say that name?”
Batman’s shock came from the fact that Martha was his mother’s name. And when it was revealed to him that that’s also the name of Superman’s adoptive mother, his entire perception of the superhero in front of him changed.
The scene is more infamous than famous amongst fans who have varying opinions about it. The moment, which was supposed to be intense, quickly turned into a meme. Therefore, when the scene resurfaced on X on the occasion of Mother’s Day, fans had mixed reactions to it. While some understood the importance of the scene, others couldn’t help themselves from trolling it.
