For Sydney Sweeney, red-carpet fashion comes down to one thing — confidence.
The Anyone But You star, 26, revealed to Glamour UK that she feels most comfortable on the red carpet when she gets to alter her dresses to fit her chest and body better.
“I’m always so appreciative to both Miu Miu and Armani because they will remake dresses for my boobs. And a lot of times, when I see trolls online slamming me, or whoever is styling me for things that don’t fit my bo*bs, it’s because it’s samples,” Sweeney said.
The actress explained that fitting into sample sizes is difficult due to the inability to “cut or alter stuff” and said she’s often “forced to fit in something that doesn’t fit me and it won’t look right.”
“So whenever I get to wear Miu Miu, Armani, or when a brand is letting me reconstruct the top or rebuild it or alter something, that’s when it looks better,” she continued. “That’s when you see I look more confident and happy on the carpet as well.”
At the Anything But You New York premiere on Dec. 11, Sweeney radiated on the red carpet in a custom Miu Miu gown embellished with raindrop crystals. The sheer number was accessorized with a black belt and silver heels.
Of the film, Sweeny previously told PEOPLE that she was “excited for it to come out” due to her experience filming with co-star Glen Powell.
“It was just laughter 24-7. Literally, we were just having a great time every day. It was a really, really fun experience,” she told PEOPLE in May. The film — out Dec. 22 — finds the two ultimately falling in love after reuniting years after college graduation.
It’s been a busy year for Sweeney, who, in January, was chosen to be the face of Armani Beauty’s MY WAY fragrance campaign. The Euphoria actress said on Instagram that it was “the most beautiful experience filled with adventures and friends” and received praise from Giorgio Armani.
“I was immediately struck by Sydney’s energy and fresh attitude, which show in her open, genuine smile. She has determination and talent and is one of the most versatile and magnetic young actors of the moment,” he said in a press release.
